Japanese Black Pine II Workshop

(Sorry, this class is full.)

June 27, 2009 | Cost: $60

Pine Workshop

This session is the second of a three part series on all aspects of Japanese Black Pine care and maintenance including decandling techniques to achieve the highly desired short needles. It is recommended that you take all three in order to understand the annual cycle of Japanese Black Pine care as all three are critical to achieve a highly refined Japanese Black Pine bonsai. Tools to bring include a sharp pair of shears, straight tweezers, concave pruners, wire cutters and copper wire. We have some of these items available for sale or to borrow if needed.

You are welcome to bring more than one tree; as much work will be completed as time permits. Those students that have completed all three sessions of study may return to continue to advance their refinement techniques.

The class starts at 9:00 AM with an in depth lecture of all aspects of summer care followed by hands on work. The workshop is all day with a break for lunch. You may join us in ordering lunch or feel free to bring your own. The cost of the workshop is $60 - prepayment reserves your spot as classroom size is limited.
